Setting up of Special Economic Zone exclusively for Indian Companies in Uzbekistan: —H.E Farhod Arziev Ambassador of Uzbekistan
Increasing flight frequency between India & Uzbekistan from 2018.
NEW DELHI ——————-An interactive session on ‘Investment Opportunities’ in Uzbekistan was organised under the aegis of BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry at NBCC Bhawan, Lodhi Road, New Delhi , presided over by President of BRICS CCI, Mr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, (CMD of NBCC); Dr. BBL Madhukar, Secretary General BRICS CCI. H.E Farhod Arziev Hon’ble Ambassador of Uzbekistan and Mr. Avaz khodjiev, Embassy of Uzbekistan to India counselor (Trade & Economic)
H.E Farhod Arziev Hon’ble Ambassador of Uzbekistan while addressing the members assured to increase frequency of flights between the two countries by the beginning of 2018 and simplifying its visa regime.

Hon’ble Ambassador assured to reduce its tourist –visa – related administrative fee for visitors soon.
Besides, various lucrative offers to tempt Indian companies H.E Arziev announced opening Special Economic Zone in Uzbekistan especially for Indian pharmaceutical companies which are keen to set up manufacturing facilities in Uzbekistan.
Ambassador also emphasized on setting up of waste management base in Uzbekistan along with Indian companies dealing in the same field.
In order to foster educational cooperation with India in solar training and other vocational courses !
Hon’ble Ambassador willingly invited team of educationists from India to explore possible opportunity in the said field.
He added Uzbekistan has already done tie up with leading foreign universities like – Westminster International University; Singapore Institute of Management development; South Korean Inha University.
Mr. Avaz khodjiev, Counselor (Trade & Economic) , Embassy of Uzbekistan to India lured the members and emphasized on possible tie up between two nations.
He encouraged the gathering and gave assurance for business friendly environment, reduction of regulatory complexity and protecting investors.
He added Uzbekistan stands at top 5 in the world for law enforcement and security.
Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal President BRICS CCI in his welcome address highlighted the importance of promoting MSMEs in all developing economies.
Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal also focused on extended cooperation in the field of defence, Cyber security to promote long term association between two nations.
In his concluding remarks Dr. BBL Madhukar ,Secretary General of BRICS CCI urged the dignitaries for special benefitsfor members of BRICS Chamber who will be investing in Uzbekistan.
His proposal was acknowledged by the Ambassador.
