PRE-POLL ALLIANCE WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY EXCEPT BJP FORTH COMING ELECTION
NAGALAND POST—————–Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president, K Therie, said that the Congress party was open to forming pre-poll alliance with any political party except BJP for the 2018 assembly election.
NPCC president said that the tour programme was undertaken to take the message of the dangers of communalism, corruption and misgovernance.
NPCC chief maintained that the presence of BJP-RSS in Nagaland, with its fundamentalist ideology, would steadily erase the faith and morale fabric of the Naga community if the presence of BJP-RSS was not eradicated from the Naga soil.
Therie said he returned to his “passionate party” (Congress) to fight against the fundamentalist, extremist alliance of the present NPF DAN government with the RSS-led BJP party in Nagaland.
NPCC president alleged that BJP’s Hindutva agenda has created a religious divide in the country.
He further claimed that BJP’s growing intolerance was resulting in deaths across the nation coupled with cow vigilantes and other pro-BJP vigilante groups.
He also urged people to make a wise decision to vote clean candidates who would provide a clean and God-fearing government that would deliver to the people.
He said that the Mokokchung, being the ‘Land of Pioneers’, would not disappoint the rest of the Nagas by electing stalwart politicians to led the state.
He said current political scenario has created the best opportune pasture for INC to come to power in the forthcoming election to the state assembly.
Short speeches were also delivered by former CLP leader & president NPCC, I Imkong; NPCC general secretary, Jonathan and a host of NPCC dignitaries.
Earlier, welcome note was delivered by District Congress Committee (DCC) Mokokchung president, Imkongyanger and invocation by Rev. A Nunghsi while the programme was chaired by DCC Mokokchung vice-president, Watimongba.
