“Action Strategies”- 60 Seats—2018 Assembly Elections
NAGALAND POST—-After having met AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, vice president, Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders earlier this week in Delhi, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has finalised the “action strategies” to contest in all the 60 seats in the 2018 assembly elections.
NPCC also informed that the Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi has agreed to to kick-start the assembly election campaign and address the party’s state level convention, proposed to be held by October end.
Former Finance minister and senior Congress leader, P Chidambaram will also attend the event, NPCC said.
Assembly elections due in February/March 2018. The delegation included– vice president, V. Lasuh; general secretary, Jonathan Ao and media cell chairman, Capt. GK Zhimomi.
The delegates also met Motilal Vora (AICC treasurer), Dr CP Joshi (general secretary AICC I/c NE states) and Dr. K. Jayakumar (secretary I/c Nagaland) to fine tune the action plan that incorporated the suggestions and directives of Congress president.
The main objective of Congress would be to provide clean governance with zero tolerance towards corruption.
NPCC reiterated that since Nagaland and its people were equal partners in the Union of India as provided in the Constitution.
